TECHNOLOGIES
Ascend Data Tech uses a variety of technologies to complete projects, and the list is expanding everyday...
Below is a list of a few technologies being used in current and up and coming projects.
BDATA BLOCKCHAIN
An innovative blockchain made in Canada - utilizing patent pending technology to connect enterprise solutions, industrial systems, and IOT data.
Digital twinning and data streaming (such as webcams) also offered through BDATA.
Ascend is currently working with BDATA to connect industrial control systems to their blockchain.

IOTA
IOTA is an open-source distributed ledger and cryptocurrency designed for the Internet of things. It uses a directed acyclic graph to store transactions on its ledger, motivated by a potentially higher scalability over blockchain based distributed ledgers.

CORDA
Corda is distributed ledger software for recording and processing shared data such as contracts, designed to implement the vision contained in this document.

HYPERLEDGER
Hyperledger is an open source project created to support the development of blockchain-based distributed ledgers. Hyperledger consists of a collaborative effort to create the needed frameworks, standards, tools and libraries to build blockchains and related applications

MQTT
MQTT is a lightweight, publish-subscribe network protocol that transports messages between devices. The protocol usually runs over TCP/IP, however, any network protocol that provides ordered, lossless, bi-directional connections can support MQTT

OPC UA
OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) is a machine to machine communication protocol for industrial automation developed by the OPC Foundation.

NODE-RED
Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services in new and interesting ways.
It provides a browser-based editor that makes it easy to wire together flows using the wide range of nodes in the palette that can be deployed to its runtime in a single-click

PYTHON AND MICROPYTHON
MicroPython is a lean and efficient implementation of the Python 3 programming language that includes a small subset of the Python standard library and is optimized to run on microcontrollers and in constrained environments

ROS
The Robot Operating System (ROS) is a set of software libraries and tools that help you build robot applications. From drivers to state-of-the-art algorithms, and with powerful developer tools, ROS has what you need for your next robotics project. And it's all open source.

OPTO22
Opto 22 is a manufacturing company specializing in hardware and software products for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition. The company is based in Southern California and sells solid state relays and Ethernet-based input/output systems and controllers.

THE THINGS NETWORK
The Things Network is a global collaborative Internet of Things ecosystem that creates networks, devices and solutions using LoRaWAN.
This network is a great way to get started testing devices, applications, and integrations, and get familiar with LoRaWAN.
